Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a City vehicle for the performance of assigned duties
  • Perform daily inspection of vehicles and ensure safety for passengers
  • Pick up supplies or materials and match with authorized purchase documentation
  • Collect and account for money received
  • Learn various social services available to participants
  • Communicate clearly and concisely
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One (1) year passenger transportation or delivery experience
  • Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire
  • Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Operation and maintenance requirements of passenger vehicles
  • City streets, boundaries, and roadways
  • Traffic laws, ordinances, and rules
