Job Summary

The State of Montana is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Manager to join our team at the Intensive Behavior Center. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of one or more residential treatment units during assigned shifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement client treatment plans and provide direct supervision to Direct Support Professionals.
  • Schedule and manage staff to ensure adequate coverage and effective service delivery.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients and staff.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and effective communication.
  • Monitor and report on client progress and program outcomes.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of developmental, behavioral, and psychiatric disorders.
  • Knowledge of staffing and supervisory methods, practices, and techniques in a 24-hour a day/seven day a week environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to observe details and make appropriate decisions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to deal calmly with high-stress situations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Shift Manager training or successful completion of training within six months of hire.
