Allen Spolden is seeking a highly skilled Intervention Specialist to join our team. As an Intervention Specialist, you will be responsible for providing Special Education services and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Special Education services to students with disabilities, including developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Work closely with classroom teachers to ensure that students with disabilities receive the same learning opportunities as their peers.
- Plan and deliver instruction to students in small group or one-on-one settings to help them meet IEP goals.
- Make recommendations to teachers on ways to best meet the needs of students with disabilities.
- Proactively communicate with school administrators to ensure that students are making progress towards their IEP goals.
- Develop behavior plans for students whose behavior interferes with their or others' learning.
- Assist with designing intervention and monitoring response to intervention for students who are struggling.
- Meet compliance deadlines for IEPs and Evaluation Team Reports (ETRs).
- Maintain and update school Special Education Planning files.
- Be knowledgeable of Special Education forms and ensure that all documents are completed and signed in a timely manner.
- Current Mild to Moderate Intervention Specialist licensure.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and community members.
- Demonstrated successful teaching experience in an urban education setting.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Effective organizational skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks.
- Ability to meet established deadlines.
