Shift Availability: Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 shifts (Day, Evening, Night). The assigned shift will be full-time and fixed. Compensation: Competitive salary with paid orientation (half-time for one week)

Job Overview: We are seeking experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (MFTs) to provide comprehensive clinical services within a correctional environment. This role involves conducting evaluations, delivering therapeutic interventions, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care and effective discharge planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Evaluations: Conduct thorough assessments to identify appropriate therapeutic interventions and counseling services.
  • Therapeutic Services: Provide individual and group therapy, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for Substance Use Disorders (SUD).
  • Collaborative Care: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans, ensuring coordinated patient care.
  • Discharge Coordination: Assist in transitional care planning to connect patients with community resources and services after release.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, reports, and progress notes.
  • Patient Education: Teach patients life skills and coping strategies to address and overcome challenges related to SUD and other mental health issues.
  • Team Engagement: Participate in case conferences, training sessions, meetings, and committees as required.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Must possess a current and valid MFT license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science.
  • Education: A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
  • Experience: At least 12 months of relevant experience within the last 3 years (excluding internships).
  • Certifications: BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
  • Driver's License: A valid driver's license is necessary for transportation.
  • Compliance: Must successfully pass a drug screening (including THC) and FBI fingerprinting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in an acute care or correctional setting.
  • Familiarity with the California Code of Regulations (CCR) Title 22, Division 5, Chapter 12, Article 1, Section.

Additional Requirements:

  • Licensing Verification: Ensure all licenses and certifications are active and free of misconduct.
  • Timely Renewals: All necessary licenses and certifications must be renewed and submitted at least 30 days before expiration.
  • Availability: Disclose any planned time off during the screening process.
  • Orientation: Attend a minimum one-week orientation period.
