Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Biomedical Technician Intern to join our team at Agiliti Health, Inc. in Davie, Florida. As a Biomedical Technician Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of medical equipment, working closely with our experienced technicians and engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of medical equipment, including operational verification, preventive maintenance, and corrective repair service.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure accurate and efficient service delivery.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to understand equipment features and functionality, and provide technical support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of service activities, including completion of all associated paperwork and computer data entry.
  • Participate in technical training and professional development to stay up-to-date on industry standards and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year accredited biomedical program.
  • Recommendation from student's instructor.
  • Final year student with graduation date within 12 months.
  • Demonstrated competency to perform operational verification procedures, preventive maintenance, and repair service on various equipment.
  • Basic understanding of industry regulatory requirements and ISO standards.
  • Familiarity with the setup and application of test equipment, including electrical safety analyzers and digital multi-meters.
  • Able to read, analyze, and interpret technical literature, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Basic computer skills, understanding of computer networks, and equipment interfacing.
  • Willing to travel periodically to support business needs.
  • Able to lift and/or push 75 pounds.
  • Able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
