We are in search of a meticulous Manufacturing Technician with strong skills in shop mathematics, fabrication, and assembly. The ideal candidate will possess experience in the fabrication or assembly of automotive, naval, hydraulic, or steam engine systems. Proficiency in using micrometers and calipers is essential, as well as operating machinery within the workshop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret both written and verbal work instructions, utilizing detailed part and tool drawings.
  • Set up work areas to execute assigned tasks efficiently, ensuring all necessary tools, fixtures, and relocation equipment are available.
  • Adhere to established operational procedures for assembly, balancing, and riveting tasks.
  • Work with precision on interrelated dimensions, examining work scopes and noting necessary dimensions, tolerances, tools, and operations.
  • Determine inspection needs to verify fits and clearances before, during, and after assembly, and communicate with inspectors as needed.
  • Check work and document dimensions or characteristics as required, operating manual and programmable riveters, as well as pressure washing and cleaning equipment.
