Job Summary

The Virginia Workers' Compensation Commission is seeking a Claims Services Senior Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for reviewing correspondence, medical records, claims, and other documents to perform routine follow-up and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze correspondence, medical records, claims, and other documents to identify and resolve issues.
  • Provide general support and follow-up for order responses and assist with facilitation efforts for issues.
  • Collaborate with the supervisor to resolve complex issues and provide guidance to team members.
  • Process agreement forms and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist with data entry and retrieval from database programs and provide internet research support.
Requirements
  • Supervisory experience, including training, coaching, and developing employees.
  • Hands-on experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume production mailing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues with commercial inserter machines and high-volume production printers.
  • Effective organizational, analytical, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Virginia Workers' Compensation Commission business processes preferred.
Working Conditions

This position is a pay grade 7 based on a 14-grade pay structure. The Virginia Workers' Compensation Commission is an independent agency, which allows us to have a more competitive and unique pay structure. Our positions are not classified under DHRM's pay bands.

The agency is currently using a hybrid model for teleworking. All candidates would be expected to report to our Headquarters/Regional Office as requested. Telework scheduling is at the discretion of the Director/Manager based on the business needs of the department.
