Responsibilities:
  • Identify and assess problems, directing complaints to the appropriate hospital and medical staff through effective communication.
  • Investigate complaints, collaborating with Quality Assurance, physicians, and administrators for required follow-up actions.
  • Communicate Risk Management issues to administration and Risk Management.
  • Conduct investigations into patient complaints and quality issues.
  • Ensure adherence to hospital policies on patient rights and responsibilities through education and example.
  • Utilize customer relation skills with physicians, patients, families, healthcare teams, and staff.
  • Aggregate, analyze, and report survey results.
  • Review, update, and edit hospital Patient Information Guides.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement activities and committees as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent and three years of related experience or two years of directly related patient relations experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred and will substitute for the required experience.
