Job Overview

Forrest Logistics LLC is seeking a highly skilled Equipment Control Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring compliance and utilization of assets operated by Forrest Logistics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exhibit exceptional analytical abilities to support and maintain all equipment activity.
  • Analyze asset usage data to extract meaningful insights and trends, informing business decisions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with equipment providers, rails, ports, leasing companies, and carriers.
  • Manage financial responsibilities, including the Equipment General Ledger.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers and the Accounting Team to ensure operational success.
  • Review, record, and analyze usage invoices for accuracy and payment approval.
  • Ensure correct charges are billed to customers, paid to carriers, and proper deductions are taken.
  • Monitor and track all equipment out gated under Forrest SCAC.
  • Research and investigate issues with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Develop and implement Excel-based solutions to improve efficiency and data sets.

  • Strong Excel skills.

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and problem-solve in the moment.
  • Advanced communication and collaboration skills as part of a team.
  • Operational or customer service experience in the transportation industry preferred.
