Behavior Analyst Assistant

Come work with our dedicated team of professionals as an Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA). Under the supervision of the Senior BCBA and BCBA, you will collaborate to apply the power of behavior analysis to improve the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities or other educational needs.

Key Responsibilities- Review and analyze problem behavior procedures for all students in their classroom.
- Review and analyze reinforcement Board systems, ensuring staff are implementing systems correctly and consistently.
- Review and analyze behavior intervention plans, ensuring staff are implementing BIP's correctly and consistently.
- Provide potential solutions to appropriate staff and carry out action plans to address concerns through PPT processes if necessary.
- Assist Behavior Analysts in writing and updating behavior plans as necessary through PPT processes.
- Create and maintain student write-ups.
- Review and analyze student graphs, including content and format, and alert SPED/BA's if progress concerns arise, providing potential solutions and carrying out action plans.
- Provide initial training in basic principles of behavior analysis to all staff, including supervision to RBT's, and alert SPED/BA's if training concerns arise, providing potential solutions and carrying out action plans.
- Apply Behavior Analytic strategies to improve staff performance.
- Participate in staff evaluation processes in conjunction with supervising BCBA's.
- Collect IOA data, including alerting SPED/BA's if IOA data suggests concerns, providing potential solutions, and carrying out action plans.
- Participate in student program reviews.
- Participate in student home programming when applicable.
- Graph for one student and analyze other data/graphs as added.
- When student/staff schedules allow, be out of rotation for 3 hours per week to review current systems, take IOA, assist with crisis management, and emergency procedures.
- Substitute when SPED teachers are out of the classroom.
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
- Remain flexible to the needs of classrooms and provide various support as needed.
- Maintain professionalism with students and staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Physically care for younger children up to 6 years old with or without assistance from one or additional designated persons.
- The job duties require employees to routinely and safely demonstrate heavy to very heavy physical demands associated with hand-on efforts when physically managing students, under routine, emergency, and/or aggressive behavior management scenarios.
- When implementing emergency procedures (PMT), must perform maneuvers and actions associated with managing students independently or as part of an orchestrated team effort.
- Good leadership, organizational, multitasking, and communication skills (oral and written).
- To follow all safety procedures and requirements.
- This position requires in-person, on-site attendance.
- Thorough background checks are required.
- Hold and maintain Board certification as an Assistant Behavior Analyst.
- Meet all supervision requirements as specified by the BACB.
- Have 2 years of experience providing behavior analytic services to individuals with autism or other developmental delays.
- Excellent professional, leadership, organization, and communication skills (both written and oral).
