The Nurse Educator plays a pivotal role in the planning, development, execution, assessment, and coordination of the Nurse Aide Training Program. This position is dedicated solely to supervising trainees during their clinical training phase, ensuring a focused and effective learning environment. The educator is responsible for overseeing a maximum of eight trainees during this critical training period.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contributes to the planning, development, execution, assessment, and coordination of nursing and nurse aide training initiatives.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Possess a valid New York State Registered Professional Nurse license.
- Experience in a long-term care setting is essential.
- Background in quality assurance and nurse education is required.
- Ability to interpret patient data and make informed decisions regarding infection control and educational needs.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate respectfully with healthcare colleagues, residents, and their families.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable of following detailed instructions.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness, and compassion in all tasks.
- Physical stamina for frequent activity; must be able to lift at least 20 pounds.
