Associate Patient Care Coordinator Role
The Associate Patient Care Coordinator plays a vital role in our healthcare team. Reporting to the Center Administrator, this position provides front office support functions, including appointment scheduling, patient registration, and cashiering. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors
- Manage wait times and greet patients as they arrive
- Complete check-in and check-out tasks, including insurance verification and document management
- Collect co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles, and issue receipts
- Manage the cashier box and daily deposits according to company policies
- Process walk-in patients and visitors
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and verify visit types and primary care providers
- Manage medical records, including maintenance, filing, and scanning
- Ensure all correspondence is scanned and/or filed, and process requests for medical records release
- Responsible for waiting room management, cleanliness, and communication with patients
- Work with back-office staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Resolve service issues and complaints, and defer to management or clinical personnel when necessary
- Assist co-workers and team members with duties as requested
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public

Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
- 1+ years of customer service-related experience
- 1+ years of experience with MS Office
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in a medical office or medical environment
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Previous experience with medical insurance
- Prior experience with EMR computer applications
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
