  • Conduct investigations and gather evidence to support criminal cases

  • Develop and maintain relationships with community members to build trust and promote public safety
Requirements:
  • Certified Act 120 PA (MPOETC) or completion of Act 120 training and passing the final exam
  • US Citizen and age 21
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license (PA license prior to appointment)
  • Reside within a radius of 15 air miles of the Municipal Building within 1 year of employment offer
  • Physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of a police officer

  • $850 per year uniform allowance
  • $900 every 5 years towards ballistic vest
  • 4 personal days per year
  • 1 week paid vacation after completion of first year of service
