Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Police Dispatcher to join our team at St. Clair Hospital. As a key member of our Operational Support team, you will be responsible for receiving and transmitting emergency and administrative messages over our combined police, fire, and medical communication system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and transmit emergency and administrative messages
  • Work under the direct supervision of the Officers In Charge (OIC)
  • Develop a fundamental understanding of personal computers and the Windows operating system
  • Communicate effectively under stressful conditions

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • One year of previous dispatching or radio communication experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with the Windows operating system

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior communication and dispatching experience
  • Knowledge of public safety operations
