About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Developer Experience team. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for managing a team of 5-8 engineers and driving the development of our CI/CD systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Team Leadership: Lead a high-performing team of engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to ensure their growth and success.
  2. Technical Vision: Develop and execute a technical vision for the Developer Experience team, driving innovation and improvement in our CI/CD systems.
  3. Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, increasing engineering velocity and efficiency.
  4. Communication: Effectively communicate with stakeholders, including senior management, engineering teams, and external partners, to ensure alignment and progress.
  5. Culture Building: Foster a healthy, collaborative engineering culture that aligns with Handshake's values and mission.
Requirements
  1. Experience: 5+ years of experience in the Developer Productivity domain, with 2+ years of hands-on management experience.
  2. Technical Skills: Strong technical skills, with experience in building maintainable, scalable CI/CD solutions.
  3. Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills, with experience in leading, managing, coaching, and mentoring software developers.
  4. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills.
