Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Materials Testing Technician to join our team at Building & Earth Sciences, Inc. This role involves providing testing observation on assigned field projects, ensuring compliance with applicable specifications for independent testing laboratories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct sample preparation, collection, and testing, as well as field observations and documentation of construction activities.
  • Identify, verbally communicate, and document test results and activities.
  • Collaborate with project supervision to ensure accurate and timely completion of testing and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential test records, preparing easily understandable reports for documentation.
  • Operate and maintain company vehicles, adhering to all company guidelines for operation and safety.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in construction materials testing.
  • ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Level I Certification.
  • Portable Nuclear Gauge Safety Training Certification.
  • Understanding of Proctor Compaction Test and USCS Soil Classification.
  • Trained and demonstrated competency in One-Point Proctor testing in the field.
Working Conditions

This position requires regular travel to and from construction work sites, generally within 100 miles from the home office. Short-term, out-of-town work is probable, and long-term assignments may be required occasionally with advance notice.
