JOB DETAILS:
POSITION TITLE: Facilities Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Retreat
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
PAY: $18.49 - $21.64
REPORTS TO: Facilities Manager
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
This position is responsible for overseeing the aesthetics and safety of the building and grounds. You will provide direct supervision to housekeeping staff and community protection coordinators, ensuring that the facilities are maintained in a clean and appealing manner while adhering to state regulations for staff coverage.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The following functions are representative of the tasks performed in this role:
· Coordinate the scheduling and supervision of cleaning tasks.
· Conduct regular inspections to maintain the appearance of the building and grounds.
· Adjust daily schedules based on operational needs.
· Actively engage with staff, demonstrating best cleaning practices.
· Perform all housekeeping and porter duties to ensure high-quality standards.
- Exhibit initiative by anticipating needs and prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate community protection coordinators.
- Conduct staff evaluations and manage disciplinary processes.
· Respond appropriately to fire and emergency drills and events as per established policies.
· Report equipment issues to the supervisor promptly.
· Maintain equipment in clean and operational condition for subsequent users.
· Assist coworkers, members, visitors, and volunteers respectfully.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Education: High school diploma or equivalent GED preferred.
Experience: Up to six months in a housekeeping role with team leadership experience.
Skills: Strong multi-tasking abilities, proactive approach, attention to detail, organizational skills, effective teamwork, and communication skills, including writing.
Knowledge: Proficient understanding of cleaning products and tools, as well as maintaining clean and attractive facilities.
Bilingual: Preferred language is Spanish.
ADA COMPLIANCE
Physical Ability: This role requires the ability to exert heavy physical effort, including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting moderately heavy objects (up to 100 pounds).
Sensory Requirements: Tasks may require the ability to perceive and discriminate odors and depths, with most tasks necessitating visual perception.
Environmental Factors: Regular exposure to potential adverse conditions, including strong odors, dust, and allergens.
