Receptionist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Receptionist to join our team at Covenant Living. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for residents, staff, and visitors, providing a warm and welcoming experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and transfer calls as needed.
- Monitor the emergency system, direct staff to emergent situations, and call emergency personnel as required.
- Assist with daily continental breakfast setup and maintain a clean and organized reception area.
- Provide information to visitors, ensure they are directed to the appropriate staff member, and collect signatures and badges as necessary.
- Facilitate life enrichment activities, assist with program sign-ups, and collect payments.
- Occasionally drive residents to events outside the community.
- Monitor office equipment, report supply needs, and demonstrate equipment use to staff.
- Sell postage stamps, receive packages, sort mail, and inform residents/staff of packages to pick up.
- Facilitate maintenance requests, input requests into the system, and communicate with staff in urgent situations.
- Complete monthly charge sheets and support other departments with clerical duties.
- High school education or equivalent.
- One year of secretarial training or clerical experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Active Illinois driver's license and clean driving record.
- Pleasant personality and telephone voice.
- Ability to remain calm in emergency situations.
- Complete confidentiality when circulating general information.
- Knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Interest in working with older adults.
