Job Summary

TEEMA Solutions Group is seeking a highly skilled Medical Director to provide medical leadership and direction to our organization. This key role will be responsible for developing and implementing medical strategies, policies, and procedures, as well as providing medical oversight and guidance to our team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Medical Leadership: Oversee the delivery of care and clinical outcomes, ensuring high-quality patient care and satisfaction.
  2. Medical Guidance: Provide medical supervision and guidance to medical services activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
  3. Policy Development: Lead the development of medical policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and organizational goals.
  4. Clinical Standards: Develop and implement clinical standards and medical practice guidelines and protocols, ensuring consistency and quality across the organization.
  5. Quality Improvement: Oversee the Quality Improvement (QI) Plan, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective action plans to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  6. Training and Education: Participate in the training and education of the interdisciplinary team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
  7. Performance Appraisals: Coordinate performance appraisals of the Primary Care Physician, ensuring they meet organizational expectations and regulatory requirements.
  8. Communication: Manage communication with the provider network, ensuring effective collaboration and coordination of care.
  9. Representation: Represent TEEMA Solutions Group to external agencies, professional groups, and regulatory agencies, ensuring a positive and professional image of the organization.
Qualifications
  1. M.D. or D.O. with a current state license.
  2. DEA registration and the ability to obtain and maintain staff privileges at contracted agencies.
  3. Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice; advanced certification in geriatrics preferred.
  4. Experience in a managed care environment.
  5. Minimum 3 years of experience in a lead administrative role.
  6. Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and state-required liability auto insurance.
  7. Medically cleared for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations.
  8. Pass a comprehensive criminal background check.
  9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  10. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  12. Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
