Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled Non Destructive Test Technician to join our team in the Palmdale, CA facility. As a key member of our Quality department, you will be responsible for performing non-destructive tests on aircraft engines and components.
Responsibilities- Conduct non-destructive tests (NDT) on aircraft engines and components to ensure quality and safety standards.
- Inspect metallic and non-metallic materials, parts, and assemblies for defects using automated and manual methods and techniques.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues and improve processes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest NDT technologies and techniques to ensure the highest level of quality and efficiency.
- High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 2 years of experience in Non Destructive Testing.
- Ability to work in areas that may cause phobias due to height or close spaces.
- Willingness to work any shift, overtime, or non-standard work schedule.
- Ability to obtain and maintain active DOD Secret Clearance and Special Program Access.
- Pass an Eye Exam prior to start.
- Certification in Multiple Non Destructive Inspection (NDI) Disciplines.
- 2-Year degree/certification from NDI Training Institution.
- Mobile Automated Ultrasonic System experience.
- Active DoD Clearance.
Northrop Grumman offers a competitive salary range of $53,000 - $88,300, as well as a discretionary bonus and a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
