Key Responsibilities
  • Stock and manage medication inventory, including prescription and over-the-counter products.
  • Notify the Pharmacy Manager of supplies and products that require ordering.
  • Receive and process prescriptions and refills from patients.
  • Retrieve, count, pour, weigh, package, and label products accurately.
  • Maintain customer profiles and prepare insurance forms.
  • Operate the cash register, display product costs, make change, and issue receipts.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of all products carried in the department.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked department.
  • Adhere to HIPAA and all legal policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional tasks as delegated by the pharmacist on duty.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of prior customer service-oriented pharmacy experience preferred.
  • State registration or certification required.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Suggestive selling and product knowledge.
  • Attention to detail.
Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this role include lifting and moving up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The associate must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and may bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently. The work environment is typically a retail store setting with varied temperatures and occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.
