Position Overview

As a Music Teacher, you will be an integral member of the KIPP Minnesota Instructional Team, directly engaging with students to lead music instruction. Your role will involve planning and delivering high-quality lessons that foster student achievement while cultivating a culture of excellence throughout the school. This is a full-time position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement school-wide student management policies consistently within classrooms and across the campus.
  • Design and deliver highly engaging and challenging lessons in the Music elective.
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum standards and mapping.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with parents and families.
  • Create a classroom environment that is both nurturing and demanding.
  • Ensure a clean and professional classroom setting.
  • Participate in morning, lunch, and afternoon duties as assigned and attend all staff meetings.
  • Utilize data, with support from school leaders, to inform instructional practices and enhance student achievement.
  • Continuously seek to improve teaching methods through feedback discussions with School Leaders and fellow faculty members.
Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in the field of education.
  • Valid MN teaching license in Music or Fine Arts.
  • Experience with diverse instructional strategies and differentiated instruction.
  • Strong classroom management capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to foster successful relationships with students, parents, and staff.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in historically underserved educational communities and communities of color.
Compensation

Salary: $44,880+
