About the Role

Cognizant Technology Solutions is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the position of Sr. Automation Tester with Cypress. This is a software engineering role that requires a focus on testing, with a systematic approach to design, development, implementation, testing, and maintenance of software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute automated test scripts using Cypress, with expertise in TypeScript
  • Design and implement automated regression testing and reporting using Cypress automation
  • Test GUI applications, web services, and web applications, with a focus on backend and frontend testing
  • Work with relational databases, primarily SQL and MySQL
  • Collaborate with the development team to create quality automated test plans, test cases, and strategy
  • Automate functional tests at different levels, using data-driven and object-oriented methodologies, and APIs
  • Understand and handle the Git flow, ensuring tests align with development
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities
  • Overall accountability and responsibility for the success of the test effort for a project
Requirements
  • Expertise in developing automated test scripts using Cypress, with knowledge of Java and integration with GitHub
  • Proven experience in writing, executing, and monitoring automated test suites using Cypress with TypeScript
  • Automated regression testing and reporting experience using Cypress automation
  • Experience testing GUI applications, web services, and web applications, with a focus on backend and frontend testing
  • Experience working with relational databases, primarily SQL and MySQL
