Job Title: Acquisition Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Acquisition Specialist to join our team at Sciolex Corporation. As an Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the acquisition of assets, including hardware and software, for our government customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the creation and maintenance of asset inventory records outside of the Integrated Logistics Management System (ILMS).
  • Track and decommission inventory distributed to personnel and ensure the location of inventory is accurately recorded.
  • Responsible for completing all in-processing activities, including opening boxes, conducting acceptance testing, and coordinating with vendors to replace damaged items.
  • Provide asset tracking services throughout the asset's lifecycle, including reconciliation activities, report generation, and trend analysis.
  • Assist in asset management operational compliance reviews and data maintenance for COTS SW licenses.
  • Assign barcodes for NCR equipment in coordination with the General Service Division (GSD).
  • Work closely with SD staff to ensure equipment provisioning actions are maintained appropriately.
  • Plan and coordinate HW/SW changes with Change Management to ensure approved standards are maintained.
  • Coordinate with SD and other support groups to provision equipment to users.
  • Respond to requests for HW or SW, including issuing encrypted Universal Service Bus (USB) thumb drives to CA customers and HW/SW to other contractors within NCR.
  • Track inventory outside of ILMS and coordinate with third-party logistics providers on shipment/receiving/storing of equipment.
  • Process hard drives and other data holding devices for disposal in accordance with DOS CIO procedures.
  • Conduct quarterly SW inventory and develop a formal status report.
  • Perform semi-annual HW inventory and develop a formal Semi-Annual Inventory Status Report.
  • Maintain the CA/CST's centralized SW library to ensure media exists for each software asset.
Qualifications & Physical Requirements:
  • Secret Clearance
  • Able to provide added value through process improvement, leadership, marketing, and customer service skills
  • Able to provide life cycle support, logistics strategies, training system utilization, supply chain integration, operations, and support costs
  • An excellent communicator (both verbal and written) who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data and draw conclusions based upon data findings
  • Maintain up-to-date technology skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, et al.) used for both report generation and record keeping
  • Expert at preparing receiving and issuing various federal and local documents
  • Experience managing Government Furnish Property (GFP) or Government Furnished Equipment (GFE)
  • Proofread and edit Technical Manuals/documentation and SOP's
