We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Dietitian Specialist to join our team at Loma Linda University Health. As a Clinical Dietitian Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and education to our patients and families.

Job Summary:

The Clinical Dietitian Specialist will be responsible for completing inpatient and outpatient nutritional assessments and reassessments, implementing appropriate interventions to improve patient outcomes, and providing nutrition education to patients and families. Additionally, the successful candidate will mentor diet technicians, act as a clinical preceptor and educator to dietetic students and other healthcare team members, and provide in-services to clinical staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Complete inpatient and outpatient nutritional assessments and reassessments according to scheduled timeframes
  • Implement appropriate interventions to improve patient outcomes
  • Provide nutrition education to patients and families
  • Mentor diet technicians
  • Act as a clinical preceptor and educator to dietetic students and other healthcare team members
  • Provide in-services to clinical staff
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school with a Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics, including successful completion of clinical practicum experience
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years general clinical registered dietitian (RD) experience in an acute-care setting
  • Current Registered Dietitian (RD) certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Current advanced credential in one of the following specialty areas: CNSC, CDE, CSP, CSR
