Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans, goals, and objectives in partnership with the Board of Trustees to ensure the long-term success and sustainability of the Sunflower Sports Association.
- Organizational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, including complex management, budgeting, financial management, human resources, and administration, to ensure efficient and effective functioning of the organization.
- Program Development: Identify opportunities for program expansion, innovation, and enhancement to meet the evolving needs and interests of the community.
- Community Engagement: Cultivate and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including participants, sponsors, donors, volunteers, government agencies, and other community organizations, to support the mission and goals of the association.
- Marketing and Outreach: Develop and implement marketing and outreach strategies to promote Sunflower Sports Association programs and activities, increase participation, and raise awareness in the community.
- Fundraising and Development: Lead fundraising efforts, grant writing, and donor cultivation initiatives to secure financial resources and support for the organization's programs and operations.
- Board Relations: Collaborate with the Board of Directors to provide regular updates, reports, and recommendations on organizational performance, strategic initiatives, and governance matters.
- Staff Leadership and Development: Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff members, interns, and volunteers to maintain a high-performing team and foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Evaluation and Impact Assessment: Establish metrics, data collection methods, and evaluation frameworks to assess the impact and effectiveness of Sunflower Sports Association programs and initiatives.
- Strategic Growth and Expansion: Lead initiatives aimed at expanding the Topeka Soccer Club's reach and impact within the Sunflower Sports Association, including developing strategies to attract more participants, enhance league offerings, and improve the overall soccer experience.
- Education/Experience: A Bachelor's degree or higher, or a minimum of 5 years of experience in non-profit management and fundraising.
- Experience in Sports Management: Demonstrate practical experience in sports management, administration, or related areas, showcasing a solid understanding of the intricacies of organizing and overseeing sports programs, leagues, or events.
- Strong Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with stakeholders such as participants, volunteers, sponsors, and community partners.
- Financial Management and Fundraising Expertise: Possess proficiency in financial management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, with experience in managing budgets for sports programs or non-profit organizations.
