Job Overview

PCR Staffing is seeking a skilled Data Center Technician to join our team in the Columbus, OH area. As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for installing, decommissioning, and maintaining network and cabling infrastructure in a Data Center environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Decommissioning: Install and decommission network and cabling infrastructure, including copper and fiber cables, in a Data Center environment.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on network and cabling infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all work is performed to the highest quality standards, adhering to industry best practices and company policies.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other stakeholders to remove project obstacles and ensure successful project completion.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree is required for this position.
  • Skills: Basic knowledge of telecom hand tools, customer service, job safety requirements, and the ability to read and understand floor plans.
  • Certifications: LEB, BICSI, and industry certifications are desired but not required.
Work Environment

The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced Data Center environment, with regular exposure to electrical and mechanical systems. The ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 50 pounds, is also required.

What We Offer

As a Data Center Technician with PCR Staffing, you will be offered a competitive hourly rate, ranging from $21 to $25, with benefits and opportunities for professional development.

This is a contract-to-hire position with the possibility of conversion to a permanent role. The initial contract duration is six months, with the potential for extension based on performance and company needs.
