Position Overview

Are you an experienced Civil Engineering Senior Project Manager looking for a role that offers both challenge and the opportunity to make a difference? The Civil Engineering Senior Project Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and successful delivery of various projects across multiple sectors, including residential, energy, commercial, and public programs. This role requires effective management of both internal teams and external contractors to ensure projects meet client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Scope and Management: Define and establish project scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communication: Clearly outline project objectives and timelines, maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership: Identify and manage project teams, providing regular updates on project status to executive leadership.
  • Proposal Development: Lead the preparation of civil engineering project proposals.
  • Workload Management: Establish team composition and assign responsibilities among project teams.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as the primary contact for clients, facilitating communication and leading meetings.
  • Collaboration: Foster cooperation among various stakeholders, including upper management and other departments.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage client invoicing and track accounts receivable monthly.
  • Technical Support: Act as a resource for complex engineering issues.
  • Progress Monitoring: Ensure project progress aligns with contractual agreements.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
  • Coordination: Oversee collaboration with clients and external agencies for procurement and reviews.
  • Issue Resolution: Provide solutions to client and project-related challenges.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and nurture business relationships with existing clients.
  • Team Development: Motivate team members by fostering a positive work environment and providing mentoring and training.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other project and supervisory tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer Licensure (PE) is preferred.
  • Over 8 years of professional experience in project management.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, AutoTurn, HydroCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, and Deltek.
  • Strong communication and delegation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring teams.
