Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team at KAI Design. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for leading multiple construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and budget compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project development from programming to closeout, ensuring alignment with program objectives and company core values.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and construction contracts, documents, procedures, and controls.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with designers, contractors, and clients to ensure collaboration, cooperation, and communication.
  • Coordinate consultant and contractor activity at each jobsite, ensuring timely completion and quality delivery.
  • Review and approve consultant and contractor pay applications and change orders.
  • Attend meetings and ensure meeting minutes are properly prepared during design and construction phases.
  • Manage the close-out process, including move management and phasing plans.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with client operations staff to ensure daily communication and coordination.
Requirements
  • Bachelor or advanced degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture.
  • Ten or more years of experience in managing mid-sized to large-sized construction projects and teams.
  • Formal project management certification from CMAA, PMI, DBIA, PSMJ, or similar.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong A/E/C technical knowledge and coordination skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport and lead project teams and clients.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Leadership assessment and subsequent leadership training.
  • Participation in in-house continuing education, workshops, and conferences.
  • Membership and representation of KAI in professional and industry organizations.
