Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Project Manager with project-related tasks and design.
  • Coordinate project duties with other engineers, surveyors, technicians, and various staff and sub-consultants.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, senior management, and project team members by providing updates and progress during all phases of projects.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and tasks.
  • Understand and follow company policies, communication guidelines, and mandated safety policies.
  • Perform responsibilities in a conscientious, legal, and ethical manner with strong attention to detail.
  • Stay current in job specialty through continuing education.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited college or university with a B.S. in Civil Engineering or masters emphasis in Water Resources or Environmental Engineering.
  • Entry-level experience in water resources/public works.
  • Texas EIT license with plans to gain PE certification.
  • Working knowledge of engineering software such as ESRI ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, Civil3D, MicroStation, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, StormCAD, InfoWorks ICM, EPA-SWMM.
  • Ability to work with a team of professionals who are engaged and eager to learn and train others.
  • Leadership skills, including communication and collaboration, with the ability to coordinate and complete tasks in a team-oriented manner.
  • Adaptability, as Doucet is a fast-growing company with ambitious goals.
