Job Summary

Bright Horizons Children's Centers is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As a Child Development Specialist, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young children to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth in children.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with other educators to develop and implement curriculum that aligns with state and national standards.
  • Monitor and document children's progress, identifying areas of strength and need.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field preferred.
  • At least 19 years of age.
  • 1 year of experience working with young children in a nursery school, kindergarten, or licensed day care center.
  • 30 semester hours (or 45 quarter hours) of credits from an accredited college or university with 6 semester or 9 quarter hours in courses related directly to child care and/or child development, from birth to age 6.
