Key Responsibilities:

Primary Duties:
- Installation and upkeep of underground telecommunications cabling

- Operation of heavy machinery and equipment

- Work in both congested and remote locations

- Maintain visual and audible contact with crew members and all moving or stationary personnel/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination

- Perform general construction tasks under the guidance of a Foreman/Supervisor

- Engage in flagging, property, or worksite restoration activities

- Uphold safe working practices in accordance with all regulations, procedures, and policies

- Establish safety perimeters using signage, cones, and barriers, and at times manage traffic flow

Qualifications:

- Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record

- Basic knowledge and ability to operate various utility trucks and equipment safely

- Familiarity with hand tools and equipment, ensuring safe usage

- Effective communication skills with customers and colleagues

- Regular and punctual attendance is essential for this role

- Flexibility to work overtime, after hours, or weekends as necessary

- Travel may be required

Preferred Qualifications:
- Class A Commercial Driver's License (Higher wage scales apply to CDL holders)

- Six months of experience in the utility construction sector is preferred but not mandatory

- Ability to read blueprints and interpret utility maps to identify underground utilities
