Job Summary

Oceans Healthcare is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician - HVAC Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our facilities department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our hospital's heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment, including fans, motors, radiators, thermostats, dampers, and regulation controls.
  • Service and repair heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment, including replacing filters and fluids as necessary.
  • Conduct routine manual duties, such as moving supplies, furniture, and equipment, removing trash and scrap material, and replacing light bulbs.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of utilities, including generator maintenance, smoke purge system testing, and electronics maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Meet training and certification requirements.
  • Provide security for the physical plant, grounds, and campus buildings.
  • Implement quality assurance and risk management measures.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Maintenance certification preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Mathematics, computer, reasoning, and language skills preferred.
  • Ability to perform heavy work, lifting, and carrying, pushing and/or pulling objects, climbing ladders, and using hand tools.
Work Environment

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries. The work environment is subject to many interruptions, and the employee must be able to cope mentally and physically with the atmosphere.
