We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to serve as the Director of Outreach and Community Engagement. This is a key leadership role that will oversee all outreach efforts and grant-funded programs to promote post-secondary educational opportunities and Texas A&M-San Antonio.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Outreach Strategies: Create and implement effective outreach plans to promote a college-going culture within Bexar County and beyond, with a focus on the ASPIRE network.
- Manage Grant-Funded Programs: Oversee and lead the Parent Outreach and Engagement program, including managing the La Familia grant, leading support staff, and implementing parent outreach initiatives.
- Collaborate with Partners: Work collaboratively with ASPIRE school districts, the Campus Visit Experience Team, Office of Admissions, and other external partners to further the University's mission and provide resources and programming for the community.
- Develop and Manage Budgets: Develop and oversee a yearly department budget that aligns with University mission and goals to further outreach efforts within ASPIRE and across the community.
- Provide College Access Programming: Provide college access programming and outreach in collaboration with key partners and school districts, including managing shared staff and developing initiatives that build a college-going culture in target areas.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience: Ten years of related experience.
- Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications, interpersonal and communication skills, planning and organizational skills, and ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
