Ridgeview Institute Smyrna Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Per Diem Mental Health Nurse Supervisor to join our team at Ridgeview Institute Smyrna. As a Per Diem Mental Health Nurse Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with established standards of care, mental health practice, and hospital policy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the delivery of patient care in accordance with established standards of care and hospital policy.
  • Assist in contributing to the hospital's philosophy, objectives, educational, and Performance Improvement efforts.
  • Provide supervision to staff assigned to your shift.
  • Ensure the safe and effective administration of medications.
  • Develop and implement plans to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required or equivalent combination of education and experience in psychiatric nursing management.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility.
  • Currently licensed to practice by the Georgia Board of Nursing.
  • Thorough knowledge of The JOINT COMMISSION, CMS, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements.
  • CPR certification and successful completion of CPI within 90 days of employment.
