Job Summary:The Per Diem Mental Health Nurse Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with established standards of care, mental health practice, and hospital policy. This role will assist in contributing to the hospital's philosophy, objectives, educational, and Performance Improvement efforts, while providing supervision to staff assigned to their shift.
Responsibilities:- Ensure coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with established standards of care, mental health practice, and hospital policy.
- Assist in contributing to the hospital's philosophy, objectives, educational, and Performance Improvement efforts.
- Provide supervision to staff assigned to their shift.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required or equivalent combination of education and experience in psychiatric nursing management.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a psychiatric health-care facility.
- Currently licensed to practice by the Georgia Board of Nursing.
- Thorough knowledge of The JOINT COMMISSION, CMS, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements.
- CPR certification and successful completion of CPI within 90 days of employment, and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.

Located on a 37-acre wooded campus in the city of Smyrna, GA on the outskirts of Atlanta, Ridgeview Institute provides a safe, caring environment with Psychiatrists, Nurses, Social Workers, Counselors, Activity Therapists, and Mental Health Technicians. Treatment services include inpatient and outpatient services and aftercare.
