Insurance Account Manager

Lockton Affinity is seeking a highly skilled Account Manager to join our Client Solutions team. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for servicing and retaining client business, identifying new markets for submission, and gathering competitive intelligence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service by servicing a book of business and recommending enhancements to processes, products, and policies.
- Manage a high call volume environment and multitask with ease.
- Renew, service, and retain client business by selecting new markets for submission and requesting quotes.
- Gather competitive intelligence and share with internal parties as requested.
- Identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities on existing accounts.
- Complete routine service requests in a timely manner, including cross-selling new lines of business, certificates of insurance, endorsement requests, audit questions, and disputes.
- Gather renewal information by contacting clients for updated exposure information and obtaining missing information per underwriting, program, and company guidelines.
- Train junior-level staff by teaching market and industry trends and how to position Affinity to bind business.
- Contribute to customer satisfaction and strive to improve service to the customer.
- Communicate in a positive manner to contribute to a cohesive, pleasant work environment.
- Protect the confidentiality of information learned by performing the duties of the position.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent education and/or experience in insurance.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of working knowledge of commercial property/casualty coverages.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of client services experience within the brokerage industry or equivalent.
- Current P&C insurance license.
- Understanding of commercial rating concepts.
- Ability to work with computer technology with little instruction and proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing programs.
- Organizational and time management skills to prioritize heavy workloads and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
- Demonstrated professional, tactful negotiation, and persuasion skills to achieve objectives.
