Key Responsibilities:
Synergy ECP is seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Officer to join our dynamic team.
- Provide support to the program, organization, system, or enclave's information assurance initiatives.
- Assist in proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.

- Maintain the operational security posture for an information system or program to ensure compliance with established security policies, standards, and procedures.

- Support the management of security elements of the information system and oversee daily security operations.
- Evaluate security solutions to ensure they fulfill security requirements for handling classified information.
- Conduct vulnerability and risk assessment analyses to facilitate certification and accreditation processes.
- Manage configuration for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.
- Oversee changes to the system and assess the security implications of those changes.

- Prepare and review documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages, and System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs).

- Assist in security authorization activities in accordance with the Information System Certification and Accreditation Process (NISCAP) and the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF).

Qualifications:

- A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security, or a related field, along with 12 or more years of relevant experience.

- Alternatively, an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree or a Technical Bachelor's Degree.

- A minimum of 7+ years of experience as an ISSO supporting Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD) programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

- Compliance with DoD 8570 at IAM Level II or IAT Level III (e.g., CASP, CISSP, or Associate) is necessary.

Clearance Requirement:
- Candidates must possess a full clearance with the appropriate MPO client polygraph.
