Geriatric Nursing Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled RN to provide exceptional patient care, ensuring the highest level of satisfaction and well-being. As a Geriatric Nursing Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering individualized care to patients, adhering to physician orders, state and federal regulations, and our facility's policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications as ordered by physicians, following facility protocols
- Lead, guide, and supervise nursing assistants and orderlies, promoting a collaborative team environment
- Assist physicians with rounds, providing necessary support and care
- Document patient information accurately and efficiently, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines
- Stay up-to-date with research related to quality nursing care, implementing evidence-based practices in daily routines
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, with a current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing
- CPR certification, obtained within the past year
- Ability to work collaboratively with nursing personnel, other departments, and patients, demonstrating empathy and patience
- Familiarity with geriatric nursing principles and best practices
