Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services.

About the Role:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a caring environment. Your primary duties will include assisting with direction of nursing services, delegating tasks to professional nurses and non-professional personnel, observing patients, and implementing changes in orders as instructed by physicians.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in directing nursing services for the unit/hall in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
  • Delegate duties to professional nurses and non-professional personnel while monitoring work performance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
  • Observe patients for symptoms and reactions, including general physical and mental condition for signs indicative of adverse change
  • Notify attending physicians of emergencies and deaths of patients in the unit, implement changes in orders as instructed or ordered by physicians
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High school graduate
  • Licensed Practical Nurse graduated from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing and submit proof of renewal every two years
  • Willingness to work as charge nurse and during emergencies to ensure adequate coverage
  • Ability to provide quality nursing care to patients, follow doctors' orders, and have a genuine interest in geriatric nursing
  • CPR certification yearly
  • Attend in-service training and staff meetings as required
