Position Overview

This role involves providing Tier 2 support by identifying and resolving technical issues across a range of hardware, software, and operating systems, including but not limited to:

  • Delivering both remote and on-site desktop assistance for company personnel and devices.
  • Providing intermediate support for Windows 10/11 environments.
  • Offering intermediate assistance for Apple/iOS and Android devices.
  • Administering Microsoft Office 365 at an intermediate level.
  • Managing Active Directory tasks at an intermediate level.
  • Possessing intermediate knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, etc.).
  • Supporting desktop applications (Office, Adobe, etc.) at an intermediate level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executing imaging, deployment, and application installations.
  • Conducting PC and device upgrades.
  • Performing minor repairs and routine maintenance of server rooms and equipment storage.
  • Escalating help desk tickets as necessary.
  • Collaborating with team members and management on issue escalations (equipment, network, etc.).
  • Engaging in special assignments and projects as directed by leadership.
  • Assisting with inventory management, including the shipping and receiving of IT assets.
  • Contributing to the development of new operational procedures for the IT knowledge base.

Travel Expectations

  • Minimal travel, estimated between 0-5%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or Computer Science preferred, with up to 2 years of experience in an IT Helpdesk role, or an Associate's degree in IT or Computer Science with up to 4 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Eligibility to work in the USA long-term without sponsorship.
  • Strong collaborative interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt and take initiative.
  • Excellent client-facing communication and customer service abilities.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Intermediate experience in troubleshooting, configuring, and repairing laptops.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Active Directory/Domain Controller.
  • Understanding of Group Policies and commonly used IT concepts and technologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Basic familiarity with Linux and Apple/iOS systems.
  • Basic understanding of VPN technologies.
