POSITION SUMMARY:
The Charge RN is responsible for overseeing the provision of exceptional nursing care for patients across all stages of life, while also managing operational aspects during their assigned shifts. This role includes delivering clinical support as necessary based on patient volume.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Facilitate effective communication regarding patient care, departmental matters, and staff issues to the appropriate leadership.
2. Act as a resource for staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience in a hospital environment is required.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Must possess a current Registered Nurse license in the State of Georgia or an NLC/eNLC Multistate License. BLS certification is mandatory.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Two (2) or more years of nursing experience in a hospital setting is preferred. A Bachelor’s degree in nursing is advantageous. Advanced certification in the relevant specialty is also preferred.
