Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Assistant/Phlebotomist to join our team at The Behavioral Wellness Center at Girard. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing lab assistant tasks, phlebotomy, and laboratory information systems under the direction of the Laboratory Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately collect and process blood samples for laboratory testing
  • Operate laboratory equipment and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communication skills to patients and staff
  • Maintain accurate records and data entry in laboratory information systems
  • Perform special techniques including blood cultures, finger sticks, and bleeding times

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, or related training program
  • At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience and current CPR certification
  • NPA-CPT Certified Phlebotomist Tech and/or 1 year of Phlebotomy training and experience in a hospital setting preferred
