Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Lab Support Assistant/Phlebotomist to join our team at Jefferson Health. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing phlebotomy services, collecting and processing specimens, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform phlebotomy services at various network facilities, demonstrating an understanding of the functional and developmental age of patients served.
  • Collect and process specimens according to policy and procedure, ensuring accurate and timely results.
  • Access computer and electronic databases to retrieve patient and test order information.
  • Prepare and perform all functions related to specimen handling, including dispatch and retrieval.
  • Provide training to new staff or students as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Phlebotomy certification preferred.
  • Prior clinical experience in a medical setting preferred.
