Lead Phlebotomist Laboratory Assistant

As a Lead Phlebotomist Laboratory Assistant, you will play a vital role in our laboratory team, ensuring the smooth operation of phlebotomy services and providing excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate phlebotomy duties, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, ordering as needed.
- Orient and train new staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Develop and implement quality performance practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide administrative support to the laboratory supervisor, including scheduling and reporting.
- Collaborate with internal and external customers to resolve issues and provide information.
- Perform venipuncture and microtechniques, collecting biological specimens for analysis.
- Operate the pneumatic tube system, maintaining accurate and orderly log records.
- Ensure a safe and orderly work environment, adhering to Infection Control policies.
- Certification as a PBT or MLA by a Board of Certification exam.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Phlebotomy training and experience in an outpatient or hospital setting.
- 2+ years of experience as a Phlebotomist, preferably in a hospital laboratory receiving area.
