About the Role

Garnet Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Technician to join our Behavioral Health team at Garnet Health Medical Center-Middletown. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the growth and development of our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Perform assigned patient care tasks and other related unit duties under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • 2-year College Degree related to psychology preferred.
  • One year experience in Behavioral Health or related human services field required if no college background.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Must attend hospital crisis training program within 3 months of hire or transfer and annually thereafter.
