Psychiatric Technician

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Technician to join our Behavioral Health team at Orange Regional Medical Center. As a Psychiatric Technician, you will play a vital role in providing patient-centered care and support to individuals with mental health needs.

• Perform assigned patient care tasks and other related unit duties under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse.
• Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
• Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Monitor patient behavior and report any changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
• Participate in patient education and support groups.

• High School Graduate or equivalent required.
• 2-year College Degree related to psychology preferred.
• One year experience in Behavioral Health or related human services field required if no college background.
• Current BLS certification required.

This role requires prolonged standing, walking, and lifting of patients. You will work in a clean, well-lighted, and ventilated facility with minimal exposure to hazards.
