We are seeking a Senior Product Compliance Specialist to join Midea America Corp. on-site in Plano, TX.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to work with our team, monitoring and analyzing standards activities impacting products and processes, providing technical guidance, and acting as a subject matter expert on codes, standards, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and analyze standards activities related to HVAC products and their impact on product development methodologies.
  • Provide technical guidance to internal teams on compliance requirements and industry trends.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on codes, standards, and regulations governing the HVAC industry.
  • Participate in trade associations and NGOs committees to stay updated on industry developments and advocate for positions that support Midea's goals.
  • Draft comments and engage with stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Represent Midea at industry conferences, sharing knowledge and expertise.
  • Build strong relationships across the industry to foster collaboration and innovation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline.
  • Working knowledge and experience with HVAC products, including new product development methodologies.
  • Experience with third-party test agencies and a commitment to ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • 1-5 years of experience in a role requiring critical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
  • A passion for staying current on industry trends and a willingness to learn new approaches and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and industry partners.
  • The ability to travel occasionally, as required by the role.

We estimate the salary for this position to be around $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
