Job Title: Clinical Assistant for Radiologic Technology Program

Lanier Technical College is seeking a part-time Clinical Assistant for the Radiologic Technology Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for visiting and evaluating students in their clinical environments, maintaining interaction and communication between clinical site preceptors and the College, and instructing students for the Radiologic Technology program positioning and procedures labs.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and communicate safety practices for students in all clinical sites;
  • Maintain up-to-date communications with all clinical preceptors regarding student schedules, student progress, and student competencies;
  • Provide proper student counseling when needed;
  • Enforce and communicate to site clinical preceptors the enforcement of program policies;
  • Orient new students to their clinical sites;
  • Visit all affiliates on a scheduled basis;
  • Serve as a major public relations officer to the clinical affiliates on behalf of the program;
  • Evaluate students for competency and ensure consistent competency evaluations from all affiliates;
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned by the primary instructor.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology and demonstrated competencies in specific course content/coursework;
  • Graduate of a JRCERT accredited radiologic technology program;
  • Two years of experience in diagnostic radiography;
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (ARRT RT(R)) credentials;
  • Demonstrated use of appropriate teaching methods;
  • Maintenance of lab and classrooms and work within the clinical competency system.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level;
  • Experience with online teaching platforms.

  • Ability to manage time;
  • Quality management skills;
  • Customer service skills;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Proficient in sterile technique and familiar with various sterilization procedures.

This is a temporary, part-time position of employment that is appointed on a per-academic-term basis. Lanier Technical College will accept applications on a continuous basis and will evaluate them on an as-needed basis.
