Job Summary

This Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist position is an exciting opportunity to join the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration team. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing computed tomography procedures and examinations to assist radiologists in establishing diagnoses and treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform computed tomography of the head, neck, spine, chest, and body
  • Conduct routine radiographic exams and advanced imaging examinations
  • Operate all computed tomography equipment and assist radiologists in biopsy, drainage, microwave ablation, and peripheral vascular procedures
  • Perform peripheral and visceral CT angiography of the neurological, cardiovascular, abdominal systems, and extremities
  • Maintain proficiency on 3D reconstruction techniques and practice radiation safety to reduce exposure to patients, staff, and self
Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be certified in general radiologic technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology, Radiography (ARRT) (R)
  • Must have advanced ARRT certification in computed tomography (CT)
  • Must have a full-time training course of at least 24 months in duration in a post-high school diagnostic radiologic technology program, evidenced by a certificate or an associate degree, accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)
